I wanted to provide an update on my training progress and the amazing support for Just George - our chosen charity.
In one week, we have raisied £320 - thank you so much, your generosity is remarkable. My aim is to raise £1,000 by the end of the run on Saturday 16th May.
Training this last week has gone well with your support through my Just Giving page a constant motivator.
Sunday 26 was an interval run - 10 by 500m, with a further 5 by 1 minute sprints.
Tuesday was the torture of Hill Reps - I increased to 15.
Thursday was an easy paced 6km run.
And Bank Holiday Monday was my final "long run" - a 22km trail run in the North Yorkshire Moors with 450m of elevation.
A reminder of why I'm taking on this challenge. Just George is a registered charity in memory of George Radcliffe, who was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma at the age of just 2.
Rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common soft tissue sarcoma in children. Around 55 children are diagnosed in the UK each year. Most of them are younger than 10 years old. It is more common in boys than girls. The treatments are particularly aggressive, and the money we raise helps research kinder treatments.
George sadly lost his battle, but his parents Lisa & David have dedicated continue to raise awareness and donations.
