Lands End to John O’Groats Cycle Ride

Lands End to John O’Groats Cycle ride in aid of CLIC Sargent for children with cancer.

A 1050 mile cycle ride in 12 days by Damian Boyes-Bartlett from 1-12 September 2015

CLIC Sargent is the UKs leading cancer charity for children and young people. They provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life. The charity supports the whole family, from diagnosis onwards throughout the treatment, helping deal with the impact of cancer and its treatment, life after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement.

Damian is passionate about the charity, and having completed the Paris to London cycle in 2013, thought he could go one better this year. The gruelling itinerary is as follows:

Day 1: Lands End to Liskeard – 80 miles. Day 2: Liskeard to Tiverton – 77 miles. Day 3: Tiverton to Tintern – 96 miles. Day 4. Day 4: Tintern to Shrewsbury – 90 miles. Day 5: Shrewsbury to Preston – 92 miles. Day 6: Preston to Carlisle – 90 miles. Day 7: Carlisle to Kilmarnock -100 miles. Day 8: Kilmarnock to Inverary – 80 miles. Day 9: Inverary to Loch Lochy – 95 miles. Day 10: Loch Lochy to Tain – 75 miles. Day 11: Tain to Thurso – 87 miles. Day 12: Thurso to John O’Groats – 30 miles
