The North Pole Christmas Festival

LOCATION: Parker Piece, Cambridge

The North Pole Cambridge Christmas Festival is back in style, giving you the opportunity to get into the spirit of Christmas throughout the festive season. Featuring an icy extravaganza in the heart of the City Centre, this annual festival is centered around a stunning 600m open-air ice rink, great for a fun filled day out with family and friends. Experience interactive side stalls and let us bring out the big kid in you with our traditional fair. Equipped with gifts, children will get their chance to meet Santa and one of his Elves in Santa’s Throne Room. The festival is made for all to enjoy so no matter what, there is something for everyone. Be tempted by treats from our food offering; smell the sweet aroma of BBQ cooking on the authentic German Swing Grill, traditional German sausage and Bratwurst. Feast on specialty beef burgers, festive turkey and chicken stuffing rolls. Indulge in our crepes, donuts and sweets, hot chocolate and marshmallows and of course, mulled wine and hot cider. Audley End Miniature Railway Santa Express

LOCATION: Audley End Road, Saffron Walden

Enjoy a magical family day out at the Audley End Miniature Railway this Christmas! Take our Santa Express into the woods to visit Father Christmas and his Elves at his woodland Grotto. Mill Road Winter Fair

LOCATION: Mill Road, Cambridge

DATES: Saturday 5th December 10.30am – 16.30pm

Events, activities and special offers in many of the shops, restaurants and other businesses all along Mill Road will definitely put you in the festive mood! The Mayor formally opens the Mill Road Winter Fair at 10.30am at Ditchburn Gardens.

The very popular Food Fair is in Gwydir Street Car Park. There are stalls offering a fantastic range of food and drink – ready to eat, to take home or to give as gifts. Stalls are dotted along various places on Mill Road: in the marquee and outside on Donkey Common, in Ditchburn Gardens, at Great Eastern Street Car Park, in Hope Street Yard, Romsey Parade, Railway Cottages, outside Bharat Bhavan and more. The marquee on Donkey Common is open to the public at 10.00am.

In the Romsey Mill there will be children’s entertainment and live music.

Later in the day there is a programme of live music at the Salisbury Arms pub. Come along to the party after the fair finishes and enjoy some fabulous music! For more information please visit
